Beki Hare West Midlands Photographer

Hello there...

If anyone read that in an Obi-Wan Kenobi voice, I love you already! HAHA. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Beki. I've wanted to start a blog for a really long time but if I'm being honest, I've been too nervous! I'm very out of my comfort zone doing something like this as I don't think I'm very good with words. Since we're now in the second lockdown of 2020, what better time to start something new?! I guess the main reason I wanted to start this blog is so I can share all of my photos from my favourite sessions and days out. And it gives you all a chance to find out a bit more about me and what I get up to. I have no idea if anyone will even read this but we might as well give it a go!

So let's start by getting to know me a little better. I'm 21 but everyone who knows me, knows that I'm just a big kid! I get more excited than any of the kids when it comes to Christmas (Christmas photo shoots are the best!). And I am currently writing this in bed, in the dark, next to my Spider-Man lava lamp. If I'm not shooting or editing I'll either be playing PC games with my brother or watching a film. I have a bit of a film obsession. Fun fact about me? I'm allergic to all raw fruit and veg. I also like to try and keep fit (she says as she writes an email to the gym cancelling her membership...). I spend a lot of time watching YouTube videos and coming up with new ideas for shoots! I love working late (currently writing this at 2am). A lot of the time I edit through the night. So I apologise now if you get an email from me at early hours in the morning! (Also I'm obsessed with dogs. So if you have a dog, please bring them to your shoot!!)

Let's go back to the start! In 2015 I created a Facebook page, added a few photos, a super cheap price list and started doing family photos. I was just 15 at the time. A year later and I somehow had the confidence to shoot my first wedding and things just took off from there!

So what have I been getting up to recently? Well it's 2020 so I spend most of my time rescheduling sessions. Especially this month as we've just gone into lockdown... again! But I have lots of Christmas Minis to keep me busy in December which I'm very excited for!

I was supposed to photograph over 30 weddings this year. I ending up doing 2. Which is just crazy! But all of my couples have been amazing during these strange times. We may have to wait another year or two for your big day, but it just means we're gonna have to party a little harder and I can't wait! I'm happiest when I'm at a wedding. Surrounded by amazing people, watching everyone have the time of their lives! You can't beat it! I can't explain the feeling I get when one of my lovely couples leaves me a review. It's amazing to know how much my photos mean to some people. And if I visit someone's house and I see they have my photos hanging up in their home, WOW! I just love that.

Best thing about my job? Getting to meet so many incredible people! I have clients that come back to me year after year for more photos (you guys know who you are!) I love and appreciate you all soooooo much!!! Without you all I wouldn't be able to live my dream and I can't thank you enough for that.

Anyway, I'll stop there as I don't want to bore you all. See you on my next blog...

KEEP SMILING x
